Friendly & Reliable Care

Pet care experience

I grew up with pets and continued to have them in my world as I raised my family. We had frogs, snakes, rats, mice birds, cats, dogs. I loved every minute of it! Now it's my turn to give back by helping other provide for their pets. I currently have two adult cats and one day will adopt a another dog when the time is right. I am available and would love to be a part of your pets life. I have had puppies and trained them through dog obedience classes. I have also adopted older dogs and enjoy giving them a safe and loving home.

The level of communication was excellent - We received daily updates on my cats, photos showing how they were doing, and regular check-ins to ensure that all was going well. Kirsten was also very attentive to any needs my cats may have had. She gave us a full report after the visits and answered all the questions we had very promptly. We highly recommend her services.

My cats are indoor only cats now that we live in Nevada. I have a leash for one as I like to let them be outside with me from time to time. My younger cat who is 6 is a homebody and I trust him to stay nearby. When I have a dog it's walks twice a day, play in the yard (not a fan of dog parks, and I like to challenge my pup with short training sessions. I prefer one dog over having two. I provide the basics for my animals and give them plenty of my time. I keep them current on vaccinations and get well checks done as needed. Pets are wonderful and they really do make a house a home as they are always there for you with their unconditional love. I am sensitive to the needs of the dog and will always keep a read on their body language to avoid a potential problem. One of my my dogs did not like traffic so I had to make sure I walked on quieter streets.

Information Kirsten C. would like to know about your pet

Let me know any sensitivities the dog may have. Especially dog aggression. Also it's important for me to know if they are prey driven. Knowing how your pet eats fast/slow, picky, and any food allergies is helpful. I like to know if the dog has outdoor allergies as some areas may not be ideal to walk your pet. It's also helpful to know what their pattern is for needing to relieve themselves during a walk. The more information the better.

A typical day

I love trails but neighborhood walks are good too. I often walk the wetlands trail in Damonte and the Galena lower falls trails. If a the pup likes water a trip to Mayberry park is always fun. I keep dogs on leash unless there is a safe and enclosed place to allow them to run, play fetch etc.

I'm available to provide care throughout the week and make this one of my top priorities as I adjust to living in Nevada. I have been here for almost a year. I have been a child care provider for a number of years and I am now looking to fill my time helping with my grandson and caring for animals. I enjoy being outdoors either pushing a stroller or walking a fur baby.
