Everything You Need Under 1 Woof

Loving and caring for animals has always been an integral part of my life, so I’m very happy that I became a dog sitter! For me, pet sitting is more than just a side job, it's something that I'm good at, that I have experience in, and that I just love doing. My 16 year old Yorkie passed at the end of December 2017, and while I'm not ready for another dog, pet sitting ...

What Kireston would like to know about your dog

Some things I like to learn ahead of time:

Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay?
What’s your preferred method of communication?
Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers?
Do you have a vet nearby that you trust?
Is your dog spayed/neutered?
Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening?
What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid?
What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

When Kireston watches your pet

My schedule is open, so I have a lot of flexibility to work around you and your pup’s schedule. Although I would not be able to be home all of the day, your pooch would never be unattended as there will always be another adult in the home. In addition, I would check in on him every three to four hours during the day. I would be with him the entire afternoon, evening and night. I live 7 minutes from my job, so check-ins are very easy. My job offers flextime/slide and glide and I also telework so I'd have the availability to give your pooch a lot of attention.

I love to stay active, so your pup can look forward to getting lots of exercise when they’re with me. I know a healthy pup is a happy pup, so we’ll definitely get out and explore a lot in our time together! I love to explore the neighborhood and head out on long walks with my dog, so we’ll certainly have lots of fun outdoors.

My hobbies are cooking and gardening. I like to be active. I only let myself watch television if I'm on my spin bike. I take advantage of the free outdoor events in San Antonio. Like music in the park, festivals, art exhibits, farmers markets and craft shows. San Antonio also has a lot of wonderful trails in their parks so I take walks rain or shine in them.
