Hi! My name is Kirby and I can't wait to meet you and your pal! I previously worked as a vet tech. I primarily cared for companion animals- cats and dogs- though have had experience with all sorts of other animals as well. I believe care for an animal means more than feeding and walking, but rather giving them plenty of attention, giving the joy and happiness back to them that they give to me, and paying forward plenty of affection. While I work during the week, I more than happy to stop in before or after work, and am fully available on the weekends. I have a car that can be used for field trips, pick ups, etc. I grew up with every kind of dog- big, small, mellow and hyper- I can handle them all! Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Having had extensive experience with all sorts of dogs, unless in a fenced-in area, I do not let the pup off-leash. While dogs might be comfortable off-leash around their owner, they may act differently around a new face. That said, I make sure to have plenty of playtime!

I require meeting both the dog and owner prior to committing to the stay. By spending time with your family, I am able to know of any quirks, meds, tendencies, illnesses, vet information, etc. Additionally, for homestays, I like to visit the space in order for neighbors to see a familiar face when the family is gone.
A typical day
Depending on the dog's temperament, and owner's preference, I am always up for long walks near the lake, the woods, or simply around the neighborhood. I am always aware of my surroundings, incoming dogs, bikes, any distractions, to ensure the walk and playtime is pleasant for all!

Availability
I am a very early riser, so am up for early morning walks/pick-ups if need be. As mentioned, I work the pup’s schedule and agenda! If they want company or not, want to go on adventures or not, I am happy to learn the ins and out of every pup.
