Pet care experience
When I'm not working with my four legged employers, I am an actor (and Shakespeare nerd). I love being out in nature; whether that's hiking, kayaking, surfing, or just lounging on a blanket beneath a tree. Your dog will not be bored after a walk, or sit, with me! Though I've only been in the pet care industry for a few years, I have always lived with dogs. From poodles to pit bulls, I'm comfortable with all ages, sizes, and dispositions. I travel between my home in Virginia, where I board, and NYC. I had a guinea pig as a child, named Hamlet, and my aunt always had iguanas! So when I say that I'm open to caring for all sorts of creatures, I mean it! I prefer to keep professional walks to a maximum of 3 dogs per group walk, with a solo walk being the ideal scenario. It's much safer, for your dog and for me, that way. I have a very open, flexible schedule, and love getting to work with animals in the outdoors.

Kiran is a friend of mine and a fellow dog walker. She is the only other person I trust to cover my route and take care of my dogs if I need to take a vacation or a sick day. She is kind, intuitive, gentle, patient, strong... a natural caretaker for dogs. She understands their needs instinctively and from rescuing and raising her own four dogs, all of whom are big Pitbull mixes, so she is also capable of handling big dogs. I highly encourage anyone interested to reach out to her and set up a meeting to see how you, she, and your pooch might match up. I have yet to find a dog that doesn't take to her and that she doesn't take to.
Kiran is a deeply caring and intuitive caregiver for dogs. I'm a dogwalker myself and use her as a backup when I have to take a vacation or can't make a walk. My clients are always thrilled with her and comment on her kindness, responsibility, and how much their dogs love her. I would never leave my pups with someone I didn't trust 100% -- when Kiran is with them, I can rest easy. I know their health and safety is secure with her around, and I know they're having a great time. She is knowledgable and certainly capable, but most importantly her love and understanding for these animals comes from a profound and true place.

I like to know the dog's general personality: high energy & friendly? A little lazy and shy? Specifics are always appreciated (ie: she is obsessed with chasing squirrels, but pigeons are no trouble). Are there any injuries I should be aware of? Does your pooch prefer a specific walking route? I can take that into account.
A typical day
I love to be out and about in any way possible. Whether that means a visit to the dog pond in Prospect Park (my doggies love to play fetch in the water), making new friends at the dog run, a light jog through Central Park, or an amble about the neighborhood, all depends on how game your dog is to play!
