Growing up on a small farm in rural Pennsylvania, I have been around dogs my entire life. I have lived with and loved dogs from a variety of backgrounds, from rescues with difficult pasts to pups from trusted breeders. Specifically, I cared for 6 Bull Mastiffs for 2 years, including food and water, exercise, cleaning and attention. I also was involved in rescuing a 5 year old dachshund years prior, and I learned how to respect space and build trust with dogs with painful histories. Due to life around working dogs and small dogs alike, I am aware of their specific limitations and needs. Smaller dogs of certain breeds can struggle with breathing in humidity, back problems, and endurance. Larger dogs, especially those bred to work, must have exercise for their physical and mental health. They also need help in heat, can have weak joints, and problems with boundries (usually the younger ones). With this specialized knowledge I’m excited to work with you to give your dog(s) the unique care they need!
