Pet care experience
I fell head over heels in love with working with dogs in my teens and decided to make my passion a career! I really enjoy taking walks and love having a companion along for the adventure, and getting to make dogs happy all along the way is the best part about it. While I don't have a dog of my own at home, it fills my heart to have them over to visit! Pets are always happy to see you when you walk in the door and that makes me happy too. I really believe that there’s just nothing like having a dog in your life, so getting to take care of them as a career really is a dream come true for me. Not only have I been a lifelong dog lover, but I also have professional experience working with pups. I have experience with all sorts of breeds over the years, such as Terriers, working dogs and sporting breeds. I’m happy to take care of dogs of all stripes! I have worked in boarding, grooming and as a vet tech. All three of these positions taught me a great deal about how to give proper care to pups. I can administer medications and care for special needs pets as well, so I am truly happy to look after pups of all kinds! My house is full of puppy love, as I live at home with my children! I have 2 girls—currently aged 15 and 18—and 2 boys currently aged 12 and 14. We have had a large dog before (150+lbs) and my oldest has had 2 doggies of her own that live at her dads house. We live with our senior cat. I'm married to my best friend who loves to help out with extra walks during boardings. He is great with pets and is a great back up to help out for those quick store runs when I don't want to leave my furry friends alone! Between all of us, I think we make a pretty good team together! Your pup will always have someone to hang out with! I believe that the number one way to make the time away from your pup easier is to have great communication between us! I think it’s the most important thing when your pooch is under my care. I like to get as much information as possible even before the stay begins! That way, I can learn about your care expectations and what makes your pup tick—and start imagining ways to make your pup’s dreams come true! During the stay, I’ll always send plenty of regular updates with accompanying pictures so you can see just how much fun we’re having together. I’m happy to keep tabs on everything from behaviors to meal times—whatever you need to know that your pooch is safe and sound.

A typical day
When your pup is under my care, we’ll have no shortage of fun things to do together! We would become fast friends with a game of ball or tug of war first and foremost. Then, we'll go for long walks around the area or on one of the many nature trails near my home. I have tons of energy to play and love to get out into the open with pups! They’ll be allowed to run in my fenced yard and sleep wherever they choose. I recently moved to Frederick in the Fredericktowne Village area. I love that it's a very pet friendly neighborhood with tons of places to walk. All of the yards in the neighborhood are fenced and we have plenty areas of open fields to play in as well. I live in a 3 story townhouse and have plenty of space to open my home to 2-3 dogs at a time.

Availability
Pet care fits easily into our normal daily routine. There is always an adult home to ensure pets are safe and happy. While I do work full-time, my mom is home full-time for any pet care needs while my husband and I are at work.
