I have had my own dogs my entire life and have always been the one friends and family have called to care for their pets. I love all animals and have never met a dog I don’t get along with. I treat all animals the same way I would treat my own and have formal education in animal body language.

Kira does an amazing job with animals! They are so knowledgeable about all aspects of animal health, breeding, and husbandry. They have many animals of their own and do a fantastic job caring for all of them. I frequently go to them for animal advice and would trust them with members of my animal family any day. Not only is Kira good at caring for animals, but they are a wonderful person. They are very trustworthy, hardworking, kind, and generous. You can expect a great experience with Kira watching your animals.
Kira is the only person I trust to stop in on my kiddos. I have plenty of friends and family who can but Kira has always been the one I ask first. Kira really engages with my dogs when they stop by to let them out and gives them lots of loves. They also have watched my cat, ferrets and lizards before and took amazing care of all of them. Kira is very trustworthy, friendly, animal loving and will give your pet so much love.
I've known Kira for almost 3yrs now and I've never seen someone so dedicated to taking care of her pets. She has a wide variety of pets and all are in great health. Your pets are in great hands with her.

I have a dog who gets along wonderfully with all other dogs! I have a small fenced in backyard as well as walking trails near my home. I have dog seatbelt straps in my car if your pup needs transport and plenty of room to put a kennel in my car if needed!

Let me know if you have specific treats that you give your pets or if there are any food allergies or aversions as I like to reward animals for their good behavior! If you are not comfortable with me giving your pet treats let me know and I will make sure to follow all of your wishes! I do not discriminate against any breeds. Please let me know if your dog has any behavioral quirks or certain needs ahead of time. I am willing to work with shy animals as long as I am notified ahead of time so I can adjust any mannerisms that may be too much for your animal.
A typical day
I love to play all sorts of games with the animals I watch. I love all things enrichment and fun! My pup at home loves to play hide and seek and tag with me. If permitted by the pet parent I love taking my dog to places around Ames with trails and shade to avoid paw pad burns during the summer. I will play fetch with your pup for hours if that’s what they need!

Availability
I am currently self employed and have all of the time in the world to spend helping out others with their pets. My only day that I have reduced availability is on Sundays, but I am available before 2pm and after 8pm. I am willing to do late nights as well if needed!
