I work as a Park Ranger in Yosemite and live in Groveland full time; my schedule varies depending on the season and staffing, so please reach out with any requests and I will try to assist you (or point you in the right direction). If I am unavailable and you are having a hard time finding someone to watch your animal, while you explore the park, I am happy to make dog friendly suggestions for you either inside the park or outside the park. With this, I worked as a vet assistant for my mom (who is a vet) before moving out here and I am extremely comfortable around all sizes and types of dogs (and cats!). In addition, I have personally taken care of and owned both dogs and cats for pretty much my entire life. Outside of work, I climb and hike in most of my free time and am happy to bring your dog along, if they would like that. My two dogs are quite active, so high energy dogs are welcome and I am used to them. If you have any questions or concerns, I will be happy to address them.

Kinny was awesome! Took great care of our dog Arthur while we hiked in Yosemite and even let him take his new favorite toy home with us.
Kinny rescued us when our car broke down in Yosemite and we were separated from our dog. She did a few drop-in visits with our golden retriever super last minute. Kinny was very accommodating, understanding, and truly cares about our pets.
Thank you, Kinny! Kinny was kind and caring with my extra large dog Storm. She was quick to respond and happy to take him for a very last minute overnight stay, and kept me updated the whole time with photos. Absolutely recommend, and perfect for when you need someone to watch your pup while you explore Yosemite.

I do not have a fenced yard, but will always use a leash for your dog outside, if they need. For off leash dogs, my yard is big enough to play fetch in and run around. As far as in the house, they are allowed on furniture and the bed (unless you would rather them not), and I do have a crate, if they are not house trained but are crate trained (for sleeping, etc)

Does your dog like the dog park or would you prefer we not go (dogs that go to the dog park in Groveland are required to show vaccination for entry)?
A typical day
I love hiking and if your dog stays on a weekend, I would love to take your dog with me (if they are active and like the outdoors). I am happy to accommodate the schedule your dog is used to. My dogs typically get fed at 7 am for breakfast and dinner between 6-7pm; between those times we typically go to the dog park or on a hike/play fetch.

My schedule changes depending on staffing needs, but generally, I have at least three days off a week. I am happy to accommodate my free time around your dogs schedule (eating and walking times, etc)
