Your Best Friend's New Best Friend

Pet care experience

The New Best Friend Growing up in "the country" as we say in Small Town, USA, meant growing up surrounded by more animals than people. From small critters to large, four-legged fur balls there wasn't an animal we would not adopt as our own. This also made it extremely easy to scoop up strays around town and tell my Dad they "just showed up" at our house. Although a lover of all animals, dogs always had a slight edge above the rest. You see, my first official pet was a red Pekingese named Biff, and it's been a deep love affair with canines ever since. I have been caring for dogs, from the tee-tiny Teacups to the massive Mastiffs, for a little over 20 years. I began officially fostering and adopting for the last 10 years. I have fostered more than 10 dogs and have adopted two, Bowen and Maple. I have also volunteered at local shelters for more than 15 years and recently raised over $2,000 for St. Landry Parish Animal Control Shelter in Opelousas for building supplies needed to construct more shaded areas and cover for the animals. As you can see it's no secret I dig dogs, and like me, your pups are your family. Rest assure, your kids will become my extended family and may return home a little more spoiled and tad bit chubbier. The Needs Although caring for your dog is like a vacation to me, their health and needs are top priority. Does your pet have any allergies or foods they can not eat, should they be kenneled when I am not home or bed time? How are they with other dogs? Are they active and want to play or are they more chill and would rather take it easy? Whatever your pet likes or dislikes, I am their go-to-gal. Although, I hope one like is peanut butter because I could use some help not eating it all myself!

Kim was wonderful. She went above and beyond to take care our sweet pup! We’ve already recommended her to friends! Plus, our dog loved her too!

Kim is a fabulous pet sitter. The only problem you might have is that your pet will become very spoiled by the love and attention she shows. She is very professional and dependable. I don't trust my three dogs to just anyone . . . Kim is their favorite and mine!

Kim has babysat our crew of three dogs several times. They are super needy & require lots of attention. Kim gives them the love they need while we are gone as well as keeping them full of water, food & treats. She has a calm & laid back personality that I & my dogs appreciate. Pets know who pet people are!

I cannot recommend Kim highly enough as dog sitter. For the past couple years, my wife and I have left our two pups with Kim while we are away on vacation. She has done a wonderful job. It has been great to have peace of mind that my pups are being well looked after while we are away. We will continue to use Kim as our dog sitter for years to come.

Information Kimberly W. would like to know about your pet

No breed is too small or large for my liking. I have no preference. Prior to booking, I'll ask the general questions anyone would want to know about someone else's dog. I need to make sure that I have a pretty good knowledge of your pet so that our time together goes smoothly.

A typical day

I live in a quiet neighborhood filled with open areas for running, rolling or just laying in the shade. And, don't you worry, I will be showering you with photos during their stay to keep you as updated as you desire.
