I've had the pleasure of having dogs in my life since birth. I currently have 4 dogs, two I rescued and two step-dogs from my new husband. Each of the four have given me experience with different special needs; one is totally blind, one is elderly, one is very large – 85 pounds, and one, who had a particularly harrowing life on the street, is extremely nervous and high energy. Having gained experience with many different kinds of dogs over the years has been helpful when caring for the dogs of others. I'm lucky to be able to work from home and can let my dogs out on demand. I sympathize with folks who have to work long hours but still want the joy that pets provide. Many people feel they can’t have a dog because of hours or travel required for employment and I would like to be part of the solution for them; being there to provide that mid-day or late afternoon walk or visit to keep their pet happy and healthy physically and mentally.
