I believe that a home is not complete unless it has a dog. They are not pets to me, but family. I had an adorable white fluffy toy poodle who is unfortunately not staying with me but with my parents. I used to walk her everyday and take her out to explore new parts of town. I fed her twice daily as the food instructions stated. I always examined her to make sure she wasn’t under- or overweight because obesity is not a joke. Every three months I would make sure she got her tick ointment on her neck to ensure she was protected. I always checked for ticks and fleas regardless of the medication. You can’t be too careful! Although I am not an expert and don’t have a license, I did groom her myself. I showered her with whitening shampoo specially made for dogs, dried her hair and floofed it up, then cut her hair with scissors because she hates the doggy razor. It takes more time, but at least she’s happier and gets a cut! I have experienced walking tiny dogs such as my toy poodle and I have experienced walking big dogs like a Husky and Hreat Pyranees. Trust me, there’s a BIG difference! I can handle both, but for big dogs I do require that they are trained in walking or are calm during the walk because it is NOT as easy controlling a Grand Mastiff as it is controlling a Chihuahua!!
