We are true animal lovers, to our core, and that translates into our care for your pet. We have over two decades of experience with pet care, and will apply all we've learned to caring for your companion. Our home and lives are specifically geared around the animals in it, and that makes all the difference in how we'll care for your pets as if they are our own! I work for myself, from home, which allows me the best flexibility and availability, as well as ample time home with my pets and possibly yours! Our dream is to have a doggy daycare and boarding facility alongside a rescue, while training service dogs. Taking care of your pet helps us to make those dreams a reality! We accept in-home boarding clients on a selective and limited basis in order to ensure adequate comfort and attention. We both allow for cage-free and crated stays, depending on your dog's needs. Our backyard is fully fenced and outdoor time is supervised. We have a variety of beds, and our furniture is dog-friendly. We have a security camera system in place to help ensure the safety of our dogs and yours. Unless performing drop-in visits, at least one of us is home weekdays (often both of us are home weekends). We do not like leaving client dogs unattended and limit our time away whenever possible. We typically give guest dogs a bath upon their arrival with us, and again if somehow they find themselves dirty before going home. We pick up and drop off for boarding visits anywhere in West Bradenton, Bayshore Gardens, Anna Maria, North Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch etc. We do pickup/drop-off for boarding in a broader reach than we are available for drop-in visits. Unless you prefer otherwise, you can expect multiple check-in texts per day, including photos. Additionally, we are always available if you want to check and see how your pet is doing. We understand sometimes you worry or wonder and we want to alleviate any stress you may have so you can enjoy your time away! We do not discriminate based on breed, though we are selective about introducing our dogs to guests. We can board dogs with some difficult behaviors, however, but please be up front about them so we will know how to plan their stay to have the best chance of success! Dogs of all sizes and types are welcome, we've hosted everything from tiny chihuahuas to extra large pitties; we have plenty of experience in vetting friendliness and behaviors so that dogs are not put into an uncomfortable position. If your dog has issues with other dogs, or even issues with only specific kinds of dogs, please let us know so we can keep everyone safe and happy. Dogs can be unpredictable, but we do our best to avoid unpleasant interactions whenever possible, and knowing how your dog acts with other dogs helps us make those calls and keep them safe -- even still, some pets react differently under different circumstances. We keep our home very pup-friendly, so dangerous items are always kept out of reach, all shelves have closed cabinets on the bottom (so items are safely protected from dogs). We have tile throughout, with some rugs. We do not use chemical cleaners on our floors or surfaces (steam mops ensure floors are regularly sanitized), so your dogs will not be exposed to new cleaners which may cause a reaction. Toys are always a supervised activity, as are treats. Water is always available, both inside and out. Food is given at set times, and dogs are always fed in separate areas, to avoid any food-aggression. We do have cats, but they are kept away from all new dogs, regardless if they are friendly or not. In your home, we will always make sure that your pet is getting plenty of time and attention. We will never do a 5-minute let out followed by tossing food in a bowl and leaving. Ever. Your pet will always get the affection they deserve. Depending on your needs, we will devise a plan and schedule that best suits your pet. Their comfort and happiness is paramount. We have experience with behavioral issues, senior cats and dogs, medications (injection, suppository, both pill and liquid oral, dressing changes, and even sub-q fluids), and more. We can meet almost any need, just contact us to discuss them! We are also fairly well-versed in exotics, including arachnids, reptiles, fish, amphibians, birds, and various small mammals. We know that it can be difficult to trust someone to care for your pet, both in your home and out of it. We also know what peace of mind there is in knowing your pet is happy and safe while you're away; worrying about your loved one while can cast a shadow over any trip. We've been there. We know that good care is invaluable, and we want every pet owner to have access to the best for their companions. At the end of the day, we are animal lovers, and always put their needs first; you can be sure that we will do everything in our power to ensure their happiness and safety while they are with us! We are Covid cautious due to personal risk factors. As such, we are not allowing human visitors in our home at this time and will wear a mask when visiting your home for meet and greet.
