Thanks for considering me to care for your pet! I'd love to help you by dropping in to check on your pet during the day, taking them on a walk, doing dog daycare, or boarding them at my house (I work from home full time). I love both dogs and cats and would take a cat on a walk if they liked that! I know that some dogs have a harder time getting along with other dogs and I am planning to only walk your dog alone, so I can give your dog individualized attention on our walks and let them sniff to their hearts content. Also, I have worked really hard to train my dog since I got her at 4 months old, so I can also help you reinforce your dog's training and help with their development. I also have experience with caring for older dogs.

Kimberly is absolutely wonderful - she is super knowledgeable, caring, friendly, and has a VERY spacious fenced-in back yard. She took our sweet Bailey on frequent walks, as she has wooded trails nearby - so your dog won't just be sitting there. As others have mentioned, we got frequent updates and pictures, which is great. It's always a little strange to be separated from our pet friends, but within minutes of meeting Kim, you'll know your canine buddy will be in safe hands, and well cared for. It can be a lot for a dog to be separated from their owner and I’ll provide a happy, relaxing environment for them. On walks, I always keep dogs leashed and away from other dogs we pass. Your dog will be my focus the whole time and I will keep your dog separated from all other dogs, including my own. At my house, your dog will be safe and cared for. My dog loves her crate and I have multiple rooms in my house, as well as a porch and large backyard, to keep everyone separate and happy. I care for dogs that are crate trained or would be okay staying in a crate for a short period of time when I have to run an errand and overnight, because it can be a positive tool to help them adjust to a new home.

Please let me know whether your dog is crate trained or would be comfortable in a crate for short periods of time and also overnight (I think it’s a helpful tool to use if a dog is feeling overwhelmed in a new home!) Also let me know if your dog has specific triggers or behavioral needs, or areas that you’d like me to reinforce your training.
A typical day
I live across the street from the town forest with a lot of walking trails, so I’d bring your dog there (on leash!) It is a great place to explore and sniff. Depending on your dog’s exercise level, we can do the easier/shorter trails or the longer ones. I have a partially fenced in yard with a long line tied off, so we can play there too.
