Ready for furry WFH companions!

Pet care experience

Hi there! I am a nonprofit professional who just moved to Charlotte who loves dogs. Myself and my partner have two adorable rescue pups ourselves named Kumquat and Cowsbane. We’re looking forward to having your fur balls join our little family for a few days! My partner and I both work from home and dogs are very welcome in all our virtual meetings, so your pup would be the perfect home-office companion. Because of our flexible working schedules, we are able to be very attentive when it comes to your dogs' playing or walking needs. I grew up always with a dog in the home and am comfortable with playful dogs. My partner and I are both very active people so long walks/runs/tug of war sessions will not be any trouble at all. Our dog Kumquat is gentle with other dogs and good about giving visitors their own space. She is a shy dog, which is one of the reasons we got on Rover in the first place! To introduce her to new friends. We adopted our 2nd dog, Cow, in 2022. She loves play time (with humans or dogs) and is very social - making her and Kumquat a great duo. Due to having two dogs of our own, we typically only accept stays from dogs who are under 50lbs so we can keep a responsible handle on the energy at any given time. Pets are members of the family and I can promise to show them the highest level of respect and kindness whenever they are in my care. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!

Kimberly and her partner took excellent care of Teddy! We loved getting photos and updates throughout his stay. We felt so at ease knowing he was in great hands.

Highly recommend Kimberly ~ my aussie stayed the wkend with Kimberly and got a long great with their adorable dog Kumquat. Kimberly lives in a very lovely neighborhood, had plenty of space, and works from home with her partner with made it super convenient for me since my dog is used to also "working" from home. Kimberly and her partner are down to earth, super friendly, and communicative! I am really selective on who I let my dog (best friend) stay with and Kimberly is now my go to moving forward!!

A typical day

We typically kick off the mornings with a long neighborhood walk, or if the weather is nice, jump in the car to head somewhere local for a hike (we're new to Charlotte so still trying to find a new favorite!) Once we're back at the house, everyone gets breakfast before settling down to start the work day. Playing and walking breaks are a necessity (for both the doggos and the humans!) and happen regularly throughout the day. Around 6 we'll do another long neighborhood walk, with the dogs getting dinner after returning to the house.
