Pet care experience
My family adopted our first pets (a Domestic Shorthair cat and a big-boned Shetland Sheepdog) when I was 6. Since that time, I've helped care for foster cats, three adopted kitties, and a second dog who we raised from her puppyhood. I walked dogs for our neighbors in Virginia for two years before we moved and had an ongoing commitment to another woman in our neighborhood when she needed someone to watch her Chihuahua. I've spent time house-sitting and pet-sitting in our current home as well and can take care of other, non-mammalian pets in your home; my sisters and I cared for hermit crabs and growing up, and we owned a Red Ear Slider for four years and a Box Turtle for two. Currently, I am helping take care of our four-year-old hound dog and am the primary caretaker for my two-year-old cat with anxiety and some behavioral issues. Due to the various medications we've tried for my current cat, and the cat we recently lost who had feline lymphoma in her last years, I have grown adept at figuring out how to get meds into a pet safely and am used to cleaning up should anyone have any accidents around the house! Though senior care is where I recently dedicated most of my time, I have spent plenty of time around puppies and kittens as well and can handle young pets with ease thanks to my time watching our hound dog in her early childhood and all the fostering I've done for kittens.
Reviews
Kimberly was great with Brownie! Will book again next time we’re in Greenville.
Kimberly was awesome. Photos and reports a few time a day. She even stripped the bed and vacuumed before she left. Would highly recommend her to anyone needing their fur babies taken care of.
Great walker and playmate for Birdie while away on trip! Will book again!
Kimberley was fantastic professional, responsive, and I was so glad she was available when I needed her.

Safety, trust & environment
I have one hound dog who gets along well with other dogs and with small children, and one cat who plays well, but can be a little aggressive. We crate both pets at night and I am fully comfortable doing so with your pets as well. My dog is on an electric fence and has plenty of yard to run around in, but I put her on a harness for walks and am able to do so with your pets as well. I will abide by whatever rules your household keeps for your pets; if they are crated at night, they will be crated at night, and if they have specific walk times, they will go out on those specific walk times! The safety and satisfaction of my clients' animal family is of upmost importance to me.
Information Kimberly R. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet needs any medications or has any allergies for me to be aware of so I can provide proper care! If there are spots on their body where your pet is sensitive to physical touch (for instance, my first cat disliked being pet around her stomach), let me know so I can make sure to love on your fur baby without hurting or bothering them! If you have any additional information on your pet's daily routine, including when they take any medications, whether they are crated at night, or whether they have a walk schedule, please let me know that as well so I can keep your pet comfortable and feeling safe in their usual routine!
A typical day
I love playing ball, tug-of-war, and any other games your dog enjoys! I live in a large neighborhood with various different routes to walk your dog along, so we can vary how long and how strenuous of a walk we do based on the temperature outside and your dog's current energy level.

Availability
I currently work on a contract basis, so I have plenty of availability to look after your pets! So long as someone is free in my home to get my cat her medication in the mornings, I have little that keeps me from being able to give your fur babies the attention they need.
