Your pet will become like family! I previously worked as a vet tech and dog trainer, and love all size and breeds of dogs! (But due to liability we cannot care for pitbull breed). We are a pet friendly family with a sociable medium sized dog of our own and we offer a large backyard, frequent daily walks, playing ball, brushing, treats, belly rubs and cuddles and in the hot months we bring out the doggie pool! Typically during their stay they enjoy a puppy ice cream, a kong teat, and peanut butter filled bone as well as we always freshen up your pet before they return home so they are clean and smelling good! We love to send pictures and updates about our fun times so you can feel assured your fur baby is 100% happy. Our vet is 1 mile away in case of emergencies. I am mindful of temperment, energy level, age, breed, size and personal history of every dog when they stay with us to ensure it’s a good fit. I acclimate each pet to the group one dog at a time, using the buddy system at first until everyone is comfortable, friendly and safety can be assured. Dogs are separated in various areas of the home for safety reasons when we leave the house for small errands, unless they have anxiety or other issues that would require them to stay with their buddy dog. I will never be harsh with your pet! I believe strongly in positive behavior modification approach and use clicker training strategies with the dogs from the moment they meet me to help shape behaviors and so that I can gain their trust and compliance from the start as their pack leader. Often times clients report their dog comes home with improved behavior! I love hearing that! While your pet is boarding with me please feel free to bring any special bedding, crate, lovies, toys and food so they feel at home. I will never crate your dog unless you have asked me to, and we do not feed people food to the dogs. I offer our clients the chance to meet us to feel comfortable either in person or through video chat. Helpful Info: weekday drop off and pick up times are 8-9am and 5-7pm, weekends are more flexible. If boarding and picking up 5-7pm on the last day, the $35 doggie daycare fee applies. We offer discounts for stays over 10 days- just ask!
