Pet care experience
👋🏻! I’m Kim - a high school teacher, human mom, dog foster, and dog mom, and I’ve been shnuggling dogs (and cats, horses, hamsters, bunnies, and probably fish 🤪) of all breeds, sizes, and ages since the 1900s. Between my family’s giant Newfie, Emma (a literal couch with legs); our sassy sweater-wearing Yorkiepoo, Luna; and our 14-year-old golden, Jimmy Buffett (who’s somehow still kicking and stealing bread loaves off the counter); dogs have always been part of my family. I really try to make your pup feel that way when they visit too. 🩷🐶 These days, my personal Paw Patrol is led by the loves of my life - Wilbur (a grunty basset mix low rider), and Jane (the world’s sweetest “foster fail” who showed up one day and never left). I rescued these guys separately but have acquired one dog with eight legs. These chill pups now live a hard life of getting daily walkies, 45 naps a day, their own BarkBox subscriptions I can’t afford, and as many scratchels and kissies as I can give the 50 pound “lapdogs.” Throw in a current foster pup or two I’ve busted out of the shelter for 2BABR plus Rovering the the best pups in CO, and it’s basically it’s just a full house of tail wags and nose boops. I’d like to think I’ve tummy-scratched and wet-nose-kissed the bestest booooys and puppygirls around.🐾❤️ That is all to say I get it. I Rover my own dogs and have boarded them at several places in the area. I want your dog to feel very loved when you’re gone and want you to feel confident they’re in safe hands while you’re away! I will send lots of photos & videos, and will give a full puppy report at the end of the day (unless you’d like more!). I’ll do my best to meet your dog’s needs, including helping them FaceTime you, sending them all of the dog rescue TikToks, or wrapping them up in a doggy burrito blanket while singing lullabies to make sure they know “who’s a good booooooy” til they fall asleep. 🩵 *MOST IMPORTANTLY* I do have a toddler at home (obvi! Paw Patrol is on a roll!), so YOUR PUP MUST BE GOOD WITH TINY HUMANS TOO. He loves dogs to pieces, knows how to have gentle hands, and I am careful to watch him, but… he is still 3 and learning. 🙃

Kimberly goes above and beyond! 🐾❣️

Kimberly was great with our dog. He can be anxious and shy, but quickly warmed up to her! She sent many great photos of him throughout the stay. We would definitely leave Archie with her again.

Kim is amazing and took great care of him. Her daily pictures were the best and Churro looked like he was having a blast everyday there. We’ll definitely have Kim watch him again if she is available for our next trip.😊

Kimberly was amazing!! We have a very anxious dog and this was our first trip without him. Kimberly was so communicative the whole time, with plenty of pictures and videos. She treated Benny like one of her own and her love for dogs so clearly evident. We were so thrilled with the booking that we immediately booked again with her.

My house has a small yard with a 6’ fence. We are lucky to be surrounded by tons of trails, open spaces and dog parks in Erie for our walks. We also have a doggy door, so if your pup hasn’t learned that one yet, they will be very proud to show you! 😆 My dogs no longer use crates so they just kind of hang while I’m home (and away). I’ve got a few Furbos to spy on everyone if I leave. 👀🐾🐾 Also, sleeping on couches/ beds is just fine here!

Before we decide it’s a MATCH, the pups insist on a first date/ MEET AND GREET. You’ll bring your pup(s) here before their stay and you can see the place and make sure it’s a good fit for you too! From there, it’s classic first doggy date small talk - their typical day, feeding/ medication schedule, activity level, and anything else I should know (how vocal they are, where they sleep, etc.) to keep them happy and safe while they’re here! You’ll also need to please text me photos of their VACCINATION RECORDS. *It’s rare that your dog will be the only one at my house*, and I need to make sure everyone is safe! For their stay, pet parents should bring JUST the NECESSITIES - leash, food/ treats, bed/ blanket/ crate! You can leave the bowls and toys at home, since the hounds don’t mind sharing (and they will def bury yours under the deck!) 🦴😆
A typical day
My pups and I like to take long walkies around the trails and open spaces in Erie, and short hikes (for everyone’s short legs) in the mountains. We also spend a lot of time at the two off leash dog parks very near my house (Great Bark in Lafayette and Boneyard in Erie), so if you are comfortable with that and your pup wants to tag along, Jane and Wilbur would love to show them their favorite sniff spots! LMK!

Availability
I am a full-time teacher, so during the school year I only Rover on the weekends. I am available on Fridays around 4pm after school (just can’t specify that on this app!) During the summer months/ school holidays though, it’s game on! I’m wide open and happy to spend my breaks with your pup! ☀️🐶
