Pet care experience
I currently have two female Goldens that are God's gift to me, male cats who are neutered, and a conure. They are all up to date on vaccinations and are regulars who are very much known and loved at Animal Care Daybreak. I have older kids (17 & 21) who ( sometimes even my sons best friend) love to help me with nighttime walks. Since the moment I was born, Ive had animals, and loved animals more than most humans because their hearts are pure and they give us so much more love and companionship than we deserve. Im that super "extra" lady who treats her dogs (so I am told regularly) better than 90% of children are treated. They give me the very best of themselves so I personally feel that I owe them nothing less in return. We are the exact same way when your baby stays with us. The thought of a scared and sad pup, missing their family is honestly the most gut wrenching thought for me, so I just try to go out of my way to love on, distract, calm, and play with your baby so that the scared feeling is only momentary. I honestly thought about wanting to help others with their pups when they need to travel or just want their pup to have a fun day playing with other pups when they are working long hours, because it stressed me so badly to ever wonder where my girls would go if I didn’t have my dad to watch them. Thanks for sticking with me, as I know that's a lot of reading... but honestly, Id have A LOT of questions going through my head if I was leaving two of the most important lives in my life, with someone I wasn't familiar with, so when Im hoping to gain your business and trust, Im thinking about what I can be transparent about. Im sorry its a mini novel :)
Reviews
We are so grateful to have found Kimberly to watch our Gigi. She sent us videos throughout our stay so we could so how she was doing and know she was ok!
Kimberly was amazing the best rover we have ever had! She cared so much for our pup while we were gone for a whole week. She was great at communicating and sending many updates both photos and videos! Our pup has a sensitive stomach and when he got sick she took excellent care of him and I could tell how much she cared for him. She was also so flexible and willing to adjust as our travel plans changed! We are so lucky to have her!
Kimberly took such good care of our pups! She would send us pics and updates on how our pups were doing the whole time we were gone. This helped make it easier to leave out little boys. Thanks again Kimberly!!
Kimberly was absolutely amazing with my dog! She kept me continually updated on both good and bad, asked all the right questions, and was very communicative before, during, and after. I will be back!

Our two Goldens aren't crate trained, and are two giant babies who sleep on my bed but I will always stick to what your baby is most comfortable with, and if that's their crate then perfect. I’m more than thrilled to also have them close to me in my room or even on my bed for that matter, if they will feel more safe and at home. My main goal is to make every pup feel loved, calm, and stress free. I have an adult daughter who also takes 1-3 pups at a time in her room at night and sometimes they love their own beds, but more often than not they love to cuddle at night in her bed. The gate on my privacy fence has a padlock on it 24/7 for my pups and of course your pups security. I like to sleep with white noise around the pups so that any little noise doesn't frighten them. Isn't mandatory but I LOVE when clients have scheduled a doggy daycare day or even an overnight before an extended stay, I think it makes the longer stays much easier if I have gotten a real glimpse into your pups personality and also for your pup to know what to expect, so they won't feel so anxious. Side note- I recently had a golden who walked back to my front door from his car after one afternoon of daycare. His mom said it was for sure a first, and it made my day. I love it when they have come back for a second time, and run right in excited to be here. Tells me that Im doing something really right in the pups mind.

Information Kimberly J. would like to know about your pet
Do they do well around children? Have they been around cats, because I do have a couple and they are very dog friendly, so I just would prefer that they not be harassed and also stress the pup out as well. Do they take medication? Do they have an issues with resource guarding?
A typical day
We live in Daybreak three streets back from the lake and often walk in the evenings and if given permission from the client, we would also love to take your baby on little field trips to the dog park, scheels, petsmart, or Lowe's. We have a large fenced back yard with a doggie pool, a doggie splash pad/sprinkler, endless tennis balls and our nerf dog gun is always shooting for any dog that wants to fetch. I’m convinced that one of my goldens would run for her nerf balls until she falls over from too much fun! And we LOVE a good game of catch the laser at night in the backyard when it cools down in the evening.

I am full time with dog sitting, and thankfully my father also lives with us, so if I need to make a grocery store run, or need to run an errand, my pups and yours aren't ever alone. I like it that way so that your dogs and my own, never feel alone, but also it's very important to me for safety reasons that they are always being watched. We just completed a 36 day stay with one of our sweet pups and her leaving was so incredibly hard because she became family. We are the kind of family that hopes to be able to even visit again at a dog park down the road in a situation like this, because we grow so attached to the pup after caring for them like our own.
