Exerienced Dog Pro Here to Help You
Pet care experience
Hello, and thanks for clicking on my profile :) ** My quiet hours are 8pm to 8am.Please feel free to write, but I won't get the message until the next morning. This doesn't apply to active jobs.** I take dog fun seriously and will provide top-shelf care for your pet(s) while you're out enjoying some kind of dog-free adventure of your own. I believe in gentle training and reinforcement. I was a certified dog trainer with a decade of experience. But I don’t do that anymore. Now I just teach dogs basic house etiquette and whatever else you’re working on. I'm committed to enforcing your rules and trying to take your pet's mind off the fact that you've vanished :) If your dog is high-energy, has special needs, is super old or young, or just normal (is there such thing as a "normal" dog?), I'm your gal. I'm CPR certified and I don't take chances with your dog's safety or health. When I'm with your pet you get 100% of my time. If you've entrusted me with your pet(s) or your home I take that trust seriously and I am committed to ensuring safety and security. It is important to know that I do not double book clients except in very special circumstances with the consent of all parties (especially the furry ones). Dogs are my passion and this is what I'm trained to do. Dog sit. Stay. Good girl. I am respectful of your wishes and loving with your pet. I have references to back me up. I'm very interested in creating long-lasting bonds of trust with my new Rover buddies. I am a trained professional with a ton of experience. Until recently I used to hang out with 35-45 dogs per day. I need my fur fix! Let's chat and see if you'll let me hang out with your best friend. My calendar might not reflect my true availability. Please feel free to inquire. Also, we foster dogs. The shelters need the help and we are happy to alleviate the strain on our overburdened systems. Please know that your dog may be staying with other dogs, but they are all dog-friendly and thankful for your understanding. I offer complete disclosure about any dogs that will be around while your pup is visiting. Thanks for reading!
Reviews
Kim did an amazing job helping our crazy dog acclimate to life without his family. She kept us updated throughout his stay and was just a delight to meet. We're so glad we found someone where we feel completely comfortable leaving our little family member.
I simply can not recommend Kimberly enough. She always kept me informed and my Olaf had a wonderful time staying with her. Already have another stay for Olaf planned.
We just moved to Dallas and were worried about how we would find someone we could trust to take care of our dog in a city of strangers. Kimberly is a miracle! She is super professional and experienced but she also brings a lot of joy and humor to the work. Our dog adores Kimberly and we do too!
Kimberly was so amazing and took excellent care of our very active Aussie!!! She kept him very busy and happy all while sending us frequent updates with photos and videos. She was wonderful. We will definitely be asking Kim to come back in the future!!!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety, trust & environment: I follow your rules and teach old dogs new tricks. Dogs can be allowed on all my furniture and I don’t crate unless your crate loving pet requires it. I pick up every poop when it happens and I do not leave dogs unattended in my fenced yard. I do not visit dog parks unless my clients prefer it (there is a very nice dog park directly across the street and the largest dog park in DFW is only 2 miles away). But really I just listen to the dog and we have a lot of fun and exercise.

Information Kimberly J. would like to know about your pet
Important to know: We must meet & greet before I care for your dog. This is an absolute necessity. Real talk…I will not work with people who are willing to drop their dog off with someone they’ve never met. Nor should any dog owner trust a sitter who accepts all requests. Chemistry is key and all parties should consent. That said, I ask this of every dog I meet, "WHO'S A GOOD DOG?!" The answers I've received indicate most dogs are optimistic enough to believe that my question was not rhetorical. I would like to know what sort of behaviors your dog exhibits when around strangers, children, other dogs, and cats. Does your dog have a bite history (it's ok--no judgement)? Of course I'd like to know feeding schedules and exact amounts. The only thing your dog will dislike about being with Aunt Kim is that table scraps and that wonderful manna, random sidewalk poop, is off the menu for the duration of their stay. Please let me know the age of your dog and if he/she has any health concerns. I always appreciate a list of meds and the frequency/delivery method. I am curious about your dog's breed but I don't have a breed preference and I don’t discriminate against any breed. I am comfortable caring for big and small dogs alike. But I might hesitate to say yes to goats. That one time I house sat on a farm, the dogs and goats ganged up on me and…oh, whatever. Goats need love too.
A typical day
Describe a typical day: We will go on long walks, chase balls and sniff butts (when appropriate). We'll consensually snuggle and play. I’ll listen to your dog’s problems and try to give helpful advice. Hair brushing may be involved. And, depending on your dog's level of socialization, we might hit the local dog hangout and make some new friends. But I am well-aware that some dogs just don’t enjoy the company of other dogs. Whatever. We will likely fall in love. I will ignore your dog’s farts if your dog ignores their instinct to dig for gold in my yard. It is my goal to only care for dogs from one family at a time until I get to know a dog's personality. I will always make sure that you know if there will be another dog present (aside from the resident dog, Niña, of course). I would only introduce dogs to each other once I'm very familiar with every personality and I'm certain they'll be friends (or ignore each other). I work with dogs because I care deeply about making their lives better by teaching them how to live with human rules (and helping their humans understand their dogs better)--not because they're a paycheck.

Availability
I am a full-time dog care professional and we don’t take days off. Schedule: I am with your pet 100% of the time. Ok. Except when I run quick errands. If special circumstances arise (like tornadoes, power-outages, earthquakes, wildfires and power outages..true stories) , I make sure to have a backup plan and I keep my clients in the loop at all times.
