Where do I even start? Don't even doubt, just book with Kim! I'd give her 100 stars if I could. Reason for booking and length of stay (7days): My husband and I had not gone on vacation for 3 years. We rescued a dog who lived most of his life crated and made a promise that we'd never crate him for extended periods of time again. Along the way we also rescued an abandoned feral kitten that bonded with our dog, which also pushed back any plans we had. We had to make a 7 day trip this month. I called around to every boarding facility and did not feel comfortable because they'd be seperated and crated. I came on Rover and read profile after profile. Kim's profile was the only one where I could feel her AND her family's love for animals. I nervously booked a stay for both my babies. Then anxiety set in. She was very responsive, polite and friendly and put me at ease. Dropping them off: Then the day to drop off our boys arrived. From the moment you pull into the driveway there was no doubt that there was a true love for animals there. It was like arriving at a mini petting zoo and an impeccable one at that- SUPER WELL TAKEN CARE OFF . Have you ever had a chicken not run from you walking near them? Growing up on a farm this screamed, " I am not scared because I am loved!" Meeting Kim: Kim came out of the house towards us and had the biggest warmest smile and personality. She showed us around and welcomed us into her home. By the time we left there all anxiety and fear had dissipated. I knew that the short glimpse I had of all the different types of animals living there and COEXISTING peacefully was a sign that my Gulliver and Mr. Meow-gi would be loved as if they were her own. Honestly by the time we left, I wanted to stay there with them. Kim gave us a big hug and assured us they would be loved. I had no doubt. The Stay: The communication Kim and her daughter kept with us was not only excellent, it was above and beyond what we expected. We were in a place with very little cell phone service and yet everytime we'd be near a tower messages, pictures and videos of our babies would arrive. My husband and I noticed that our Gulliver, who isn't really expressive looked happy! Mr. Meow-gi who is a " house cat" but feral at birth looked calm. We were missing them but also knew they were happy and safe. Every member of Kim's family cared for and spent time with them. I will repeat loudly, they were being not only taken care of but loved! Picking them up: When we arrived Kim came out with that warm smile, welcomed us back and took us to our boys. There they were: cats with dogs, dogs with kittens, kittens with all and all loved. Our Gulliver gave us quick hello and went back to the spot on the couch which I assume he made home. ? It was obvious that both of them were doted over and that they loved Kim and her family. They were happy, healthy, content and loved. So much so that after arriving back we noticed that our cat had become super affectionate which was very unlike him and Gulliver constantly was pawing for " pets and hugs". Overall: My husband and I do not have children. Our boys are our babies. From initial contact to pick up, Kim was nothing but amazing. Our boys were loved as if they were her own and we can tell this by how affectionate, well taken care of and well behaved they were when we got them home. I would rebook in a heartbeat with Kim even if that meant driving 500 miles to have her and her family be our sitters. I've mentioned the word love A LOT of times in this review. That is because that is what your babies will get. A home, family and love away from that of their own. I don't even think our boys thought we left them ( or noticed lol). They were somewhere where they were family. Thank you all for the love, care and dedication you gave our two boys. I know this is how all babies whom you welcome into your home are treated also. ❤️
