Hey there! My name is KC and I am 26 years old. I work 40 hours a week at home and take two 15 minute breaks and a 45 minute lunch Monday through Friday. I currently am close to the Coronado park and live with my Fiance Ben and our 1 year old Doberman Pinscher Gin. Growing up I had two dogs a beagle and a corgi. When I was younger I was inexperienced and didn't provide any structure for my dogs. However, I have always loved dogs and cats growing up. I try my best to be a responsible dog owner especially raising a high-energy working dog breed. We do not go to dog parks because I feel that if I cannot control an outcome or an experience for my dog there's room to put her at risk. While it may work for other people I am more particular about the socialization for my own dog. We walk around 3-5 miles a day depending on how hot it is outside. My dog is trained to be off-leash and we will play fetch as well when the park is not too busy. Some other activities that we enjoy on the weekend: hiking, taking Gin to an outdoor restaurant patio, biking and skateboarding. When it is too hot outside or if we are for some reason unable to meet Gin's physical enrichment goals for the day we incorporate mental enrichment i.e. frozen kongs, lick mats, destroying cardboard boxes. I'm familiar with training tools in the balanced dog community and even use them on Gin but I also heavily rely on positive reinforcement. I also enjoy keeping the environment neutral and not allow dogs to be over stimulated. If you think we'd be a good fit I'd love to hear from you!
