My family has always had dogs, big and small. I grew up learning how to read their body language for signs of fear or nervousness so I knew not just when they wanted to play, but also when they wanted to be left alone. I frequently did dog sitting for other family members, and spent a short time volunteering with the Humane Society exercising and playing with the dogs. I love all kinds of dogs and animals in general and hope to have the opportunity to care for your furry child!
