I was brought up with dogs. We had one spaniel and a golden retriever. Throughout my school years, I fed them and took them for an hour run before rushing to catch the school bus. When I returned at the end of the day, I'd feed them again and make sure their energy was well spent with a walk or a game if fetch. At the same time, I was the proud mummy of 42 chickens! I have been passionate about animals and their welfare for as long as I can remember. Since, I have walked dogs for free of charge and also dog sat for my friends and family. Unfortunately, working day shifts means I don't have the time to take on a pet myself but I hope to find the time to invite a small companion into a forever home soon.
