Kim is my daughter and has been raised with dogs her entire life. Three years ago, when she was a sophomore in college, unbeknownst to us, she went to the shelter and got a dog. She didn't want her dad and me to know about him because we don't believe college kids need dogs and have told her that time and time again. Well, she blew me away when I found out that she had healed his infected ears, (inside and out), all by herself. She had watched me take care of our dogs and learned more than I knew. She also took him and had him fixed and paid for it on her own. She learned a lot about dogs from watching me foster many greyhounds and help take them from the track to their first forever home. She got very attached to all of them but knew a forever home was best for them. I can't say enough about how gentle, loving and knowledgeable my daughter is about how to care for an animal. She's a total inspiration and made me a believer that college kids really can be good parents.
