Pet care experience
I am a huge pet-lover! I have had pets my entire life, including dogs, cats, hamsters and other rodents, fish, and rabbits. I've owned a variety of dog breeds, from Chihuahua to Labradors, so I am comfortable with many sizes and personalities of dogs. I am equal parts dog and cat-lady, so please consider me as well if you have cats that need watching! I love to get outside and explore, and love to do so even more with a canine by my side. I have a 3 year old dog who loves and gets along well with other dogs! We love to take her on walks and hikes and would love for your dog to join us. My husband works from home and I’m home 4 days a week, so your dog won’t be alone during the day while I’m at work (if they’re boarding with me on a weekday). At social gatherings, I'm always the human that spends more time interacting with pets than people, so rest assured your pet will be spoiled with positive interactions.

Kim is very responsive & sends tons of great pictures. My dog can be a bit shy in new environments, but was so thrilled to play with Piper all weekend. She didn’t want to leave when I came to get her
Kim and Matt are great. My dog gets bummed that he has to come home with boring old me.
Our dog Koda had such a fantastic time with Kim & Matt! They were so welcoming and took wonderful care of him. We received frequent updates while we were traveling and they were super flexible about letting us pick him up after our flight got in at night. Koda will miss hanging out with Piper.

I have a fenced yard but never leave my dog or guest dogs out there unattended for more than a few minutes at a time. Between my husband and I, one of us is pretty much always home, but if we do both have to be gone we prefer to crate guest dogs for safety (unless your dog has stayed with us before). We have a toddler at home so we are only able to board dogs that are friendly with young children.

If your dog is boarding with me, they must be friendly with other dogs, cats, and young children (I have all 3). No unmetered males or females in heat. I also like to know how your dog reacts to strangers, and if they have any food allergies or sensitivities.
A typical day
Going on walks around my neighborhood and the park that my house backs up to, weekend hikes, dog park visits (if you’d like), playing in the backyard with me, my husband, and/or our dog:

Availability
My husband works from home full time and I work part time out of the home, and the rest of the time stay home with my son. One of us is almost always home, and we don’t leave our pets alone for more than a few hours at a time. Time is always carved out for a daily walk through the park or neighborhood!
