My parents got our first dog when I was 8 and I’ve loved on them ever since. In college I adopted a kitty whose owner had died, leaving her a stray. I also worked part time house/dog sitting in college. After, when my husband and I were first married we adopted a mastiff who had been abused. I was able to train her and earn her trust over the next year and she became a wonderful family dog for our growing family. Our mastiff has since passed away and we are not ready to have another dog of our own but would love to ‘borrow’ a dog to help our family feel whole! We have the most experience with large dogs (large Labradors, german shepherds, dobermans, labradoodles) but would love to spend time with dogs of any size. We currently have a kitten who was raised with my parent’s 2 110lb labs so he is good with dogs. We look forward to loving on your fur babies! I am currently homeschooling my young daughters but I do work on Tuesday and Thursday mornings outside the house. Due to the shutdown we spend most time at home and would love to have a buddy to play with! When we go out it is mostly to go hiking or the beach, we are a very active family and would be happy to take your dog with us (as long as they are good on leash)! We have a fenced grass backyard with a fish pond in a raised enclosure. We live on almost 1/4 acre. Our backyard is shaded by a heritage oak almost the whole morning and there is space under the tree that is shaded all day.
