I was raised in a home with two dogs my entire life. I lived with roommates with dogs, but waited until I had my own home with a fenced in yard to get my pup, Archie. I adopted Archie from Great Plains Pointer Rescue when he was just 8 weeks old. My husband is also an animal lover! Dogs always seem to gravitate toward him...I just think they think he is another dog because of his big beard! I am an educator with a Masters in Elementary Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership. I work at an elementary school and I also will teach a graduate course this year to add to my experience in teaching. As a teacher, I know how important it is to have clear and strong communication with parents - for children or fur children! I have clear expectations for Archie and would want to know what is important for your dog as well.
