Caregiver & Behavior Enthusiast

Pet care experience

I love animals. I’ve been taking care of dogs, cats and farm animals since I was a kid, and have been professionally dogsitting for five years.

Kim was a wonderful companion for Brucey. He's not an easy dog to win over and shuts down when I leave, but she worked hard to gain his trust and gave him companionship and kept him safe and well cared for. Thanks Kim, Bruce and I would love to have you back!

Kim sent lots of great pics and my anxious pup came back happy and relaxed. Will definitely board with Kim again!

Kim was sweet and responsible. She sat my 4 year old dog at my home. She sent updates and photos twice a day, gave plenty of walks and play time, and went above and beyond by removing snow from my sidewalks during a snow storm. Would strongly recommend Kim. She was respectful of my home, and kind and loving to my fur baby.

Safety, trust & environment

I have extensive experience with high-anxiety animals as well as medication administration. An animal’s well being, physically and emotionally, are my priority when in my hands so meeting and building trust before booking a sit is very important. Especially if your pet has any major traumas or triggers that need accommodating. My close friend is a professional dog trainer and behavior specialist, so I've also learned a bit about dog psychology and training through her. I’m a big fan of clicker-training (ask me about it!) and positive reinforcement treat-training to reach new behavior goals. If there’s something you’d like your dog to work on, bring it up and I’ll see if I can help with it.

Information Kim M. would like to know about your pet

Definitely let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors I should know about, including things that may trigger or overstimulate them, their reactions to other animals and people, and how they prefer to be greeted. Let me know about your dog’s routines, what times of day they like to play, relax, and what they’re used to so I can make sure they’re as comfortable and familiar in their environment as can be.

A typical day

For walks and exercise, I like to take dogs on routes that they’re used to going on (local neighborhood strolls or parks), but I’m open to taking them out on a trail or an adventure if it seems like a good fit.

I’m currently working freelance which means I’m able to revolve my schedules around pet care bookings and am fully attentive to your pets during service. Sometimes I’ll be working remotely, but I’ll be able to spend as much time with your animals as needed giving them plenty of cuddles and playtime.
