Pet care experience
I have lived in Spruce Grove and Parkland County for over 10 years. I have experience in animal rescue, and security: I have a clean criminal record and have experience being put in positions of trust. I love all animals and have experience with a variety of breeds and temperaments. I’m happy to reinforce any training you’re working on. I know how hard it can be to find help when you work a non-traditional schedule. My availability supports shift workers: variable evenings, weekends, and weekdays. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are ALWAYS AVAILABLE! *almost*
Reviews
Kim is amazing with Brigus. We always get updates on the walk route and pictures for that day. We've been using Kim for a few months now and Brigus could live without her :).
Kim went above and beyond with my dog. Cooper was really well taken care of. Kim sent pictures and text to update me on Cooper throughout the day. I would highly recommend Kim to anyone! Thanks!

No matter where I’m providing care (in your home or out walking) I will treat your animal, belongings, and home with the same care I show my own. I will follow any instructions I’ve been given as far as caring for your animal, using your equipment/supplies, and putting things away in your home, and ensure your house is as I found it: locked, lights off/on, any gear I’ve used will be put away. I’m happy to say hello to your neighbors, bring any packages inside, top up your pet’s water or food, scoop litter boxes and water plants (indoor or outdoor).

Information Kim L. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if there’s any special needs/requirements your dog has. I’m happy to accommodate dogs that are working on skill building and reinforce any training you’re working on. My preference is to work with families that use positive reinforcement methodologies and force free equipment.
A typical day
I really like to follow the dogs lead when we walk: they’re free to sniff at their leisure, and set our pace. I prefer wide open spaces and trails, like Jubilee park or the trails around storm water ponds, so we have more warning of other dogs approaching. I’m an observant and thoughtful walker: we steer clear of settings/animals that are reactive (dogs barking at fences, windows, or the end of their leash, dogs who are barely in the control of their walker). I bring along treats or kibble to distract dogs during these moments, and to keep them moving so we can pass swiftly. I also talk to the dogs while we walk.

Availability
I’m a SAHP so I do usually have a kiddo (or two) along for the walk, therefore I only accept clients whose dog(s) are friendly with kids. (I ensure your dog(s) are getting their exercise even with my kids in tow: in the warm weather my kid(s) ride on their scooters and in the stroller, in the winter they stick to the stroller and walking). I can accommodate those who need care during the day and on weekends. Please contact me for specific daily availability :)
