My most recent dog was a border collie I rescued from some neglectful neighbors as a puppy and raised all the way to “grumpy old man”. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Halloween a couple of years ago and I miss him every day. I frequently look after my four-footed “nephew” (aka my housemate’s 85-pound yellow lab) when his mum is away maintaining her acupuncture license. I have also been looking after other people’s dogs for years. I am comfortable with all ages, from bottle-feeding puppies to elderly, grumpy old cur-mudgeons. I’m comfortable with Cones of Shame, casts and bandages, pills and other medications, “wheelchairs” and even subcutaneous fluids. Because I am a writer and filmmaker, I can work from anywhere. So I can be there all day with your little guy(s) or gal(s); or I can just pop in to make sure they aren't up to any mischief. PS - I also love cats.
