* I am having surgery on my foot April 1st and need to take some time off to recover. I'm hoping it'll just take a month or so, sorry for any inconvenience. Hi, below is important information please read everything. * I am no longer accepting Pit Bulls, pure or mixed and no dogs that are aggressive in any way be it over toys, food or anything else, I need to insure that all the dogs that stay with me are safe and happy. Hi, I'm Kim, I'm 56 and I've been living in Sedona for over 12 years and I'm truly enjoying my life as a dog sitter. I've had many kinds of pets but dogs are my favorite. My house is super casual, I have bowls, blankets, beds and toys. All you need to bring is food and treats. I was a veterinary Assistant for 3 years and I'm able to give any care necessary. If your dog is crate trained feel free to bring it although I do have a large crate if needed. I love to play with the dogs, fetch, tug of war, sunbathing and I have a summer dog fountain and pool that they can play in. I have a 6 foot fence to keep the jumpers in and rocks around the perimeter for the diggers. Safety is a big priority for me, I want your dog to enjoy their time with me! I ask that dogs have all their shots and are treated for fleas before arrival at my house, it doesn't matter what method you choose for flea care and I do not have to see the documents, I trust you. :) FYI: Day Care is only for the day starting any time after 8 am and ending at 11 pm. Boarding is an overnight stay starting any time after 8 am and ending at any time before 11 pm the next day.

Kim was a lifesaver for us as we needed a place for Tucker for the week while vacationing in Sedona. Tucker enjoyed Kim’s loving care as well as the other doggie friends he made throughout the week.

If possible, but not necessary, I'd like to meet with you and your dog beforehand so we can discuss their schedule and preferences, any special needs they have including amount of play time, allergies, potty breaks, meals and medications. It's also nice for them to get to know me and the house so they feel more comfortable when they arrive for their stay. If we don't meet ahead of time I like to spend time with you when you drop off your dog so we can get to know each other and make sure your dog is comfortable. I will also need to know if your dog is NOT Spayed or Neutered, this can cause serious problems with other dogs so coverings would be necessary. For females in heat please provide doggy pads to cover the area. I ask that all dogs be 100% housebroken, I have wood floors. :-) Thanks!!!
A typical day
I have a good size yard for the dogs to play in and it's fenced all the way around so they can run it like a racetrack, which usually gives them all the exercise they need. I will throw balls and play with them outside when it's not too hot/cold. I always have lots of toys for them to chew on and play with and provide lots of water inside and out. I usually have healthy treats for the dogs but it's best if you bring their own so their stomachs don't get upset.
