Hikes & Adventure in Berkeley Hills
Pet care experience
We live on a large dog-friendly property in the Berkeley Hills which is perfect for happy dogs! We enthusiastically welcome puppies. Our goal is to integrate your pup into the family; we love ours a ton, so we don’t take this lightly. To that end, we keep the amount of dogs we board small and meet everyone before their first stay. We’ve been told we provide the perfect environment for introverted canines.📖 🐾 We both have a background in science and Kim is a certified massage therapist. Pre-COVID, she hosted an AirBnB experience called "Bodywork for Canines". 💆🏻♀️ 🐶 We are both animal lovers with many years of experience caring for dogs. Some highlights of our experience include caring for sharks in aquariums and canine circus training. If we can enrich and entertain an octopus, we can definitely make sure your dog enjoys their stay! 🐙 🐕
Reviews
Kim and Ching did a wonderful job with our dog. They provided frequent pictures and did a lot of fun activities like going to the park and hiking. They were flexible and great to work with.
Fantastic experience as always. Kim and Ching are the best!
This was the second time that we boarded Julius with Kim and Ching and they provided great communication, sent frequent photos and updates, and went on outings to hikes and dog parks almost everyday. Julius even squealed with delight and got very excited when he realized we were pulling up to their house and he ran right inside! They made us feel very comfortable leaving Julius and we will definitely ask them to board him in the future.
Another great stay! Kim and Ching are fantastic and our Jovie girl loves getting to stay with them!

Information Kim & Ching G. would like to know about your pet
We require all pups staying with us to be healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, and socialized to dog park settings. We have a preference for dogs with good recall off-leash: this allows us to take pack hikes. Are there any quirks, likes, or dislikes we should be aware of? Does your pup need medication or have any dietary restrictions? What makes them happy? What is their greatest motivator (food, play, praise)? We are experienced and comfortable with a range of sizes and play styles as long as they are unquestionably friendly towards dogs and humans. Dominant dogs are not a good fit for our household. Please be honest about any behavioral considerations, so we can properly accommodate and make their stay a positive experience. Please note that Neo is not neutered: if you have an unspayed female dog, we can only host her while not in heat. We’re not ready to be grandparents! Booking with us means you confirm and agree to the above.
A typical day
Our yard is a dog park unto itself and play and fetch outside throughout the day. We believe mental stimulation is just as important as regular exercise, so we also have an arsenal of doggy toys and puzzle bowls. We choose outings based on the needs of the dogs in our care. We switch it up at least every other day with off-leash hikes, dog park trips, and walks around the neighborhood. Dogs have been known to join us on day trips during longer stays. We have visited most dog parks in the East Bay!
