Savvy Sitter, SAHM, Fun Fenced Yard

Pet care experience

I live in a quiet cul de sac with a large fenced yard where I am home full time with my two kids. I have one cat that is outdoors most of the day and keeps to herself while she’s inside, as well as a friendly dog who is generally neutral with other friendly dogs. I have owned dogs off and on for the past 15+ years, and have learned even more in the last few years I’ve provided care for Rover dogs about animal behavior, training, and safety. I am confident I can provide care that is safe, comfortable, and fun for your dog. I’d love to get to know you and your fur babies to see if I’m the right fit for your family.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is my top priority. Your dog will be on a leash while outside or in the fenced yard. I keep dogs inside at night and while I am away in a crate or gated off in our main living area (whichever is the safest and comfortable for the dog). I also keep dogs safe by monitoring meals and playtime.

Home

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog, 1 cat
Children 0-5 years old
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Information Kiersten S. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know how well your dog tolerates small children, potty trained, crate trained, feeding schedule, and how they do with other dogs. I would also like to know any behaviors that would help keep your dog and mine safe (resource guarding, door busting, escape tendencies, etc…)

A typical day

A typical day in my home starts with potty breaks first thing in the morning, play (if the dog is up for it and the weather allows), meal time, then rest while we get ready for the day. We usually go out to play or walk again mid morning. Middle of the day is quiet time while my toddler naps. We then follow a similar pattern in the afternoon (play, food, rest). Occasionally we take dogs to our nearby walking path, and play fetch/ tug/ enrichment activities indoors when the weather is inclement.
