Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Kianna, I am a 27 year old medical student! I’ve had many pets my whole life long, including dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, chickens and even hermit crabs! I am a classic animal lover, and I believe my experience with animals small and large gives me a unique ability to understand and cater to their needs. I am active and love to explore parks and trails with animals, or just stay at home and play or cuddle. With regards to dogs and dog walking and boarding, I have multiple years of experience with a program that enables families to raise future guide dogs for their first year of life, to socialize and train them so that they will be ready to go into their jobs with confidence. As such I am equipped with many skills that I believe are valuable: gaining an animal’s trust, high attentiveness to the animal’s needs full time, ability to handle high energy or nervous animals, and understanding appropriate socialization techniques that are unique to each specific furry friend. I assure you that your animal will have a wonderful and safe time in my care, I have nothing but tons of love and affection in my heart that I would be happy to share with your pet! I’m staying at a large house with a big fenced in yard. Pasadena has incredible spots for outdoor play time like parks and trails and I’m happy to explore with an animal friend!
Information Kianna v. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know as much information as possible about the dogs unique and individual characteristics or any special needs they have. Since I have a lot of experience with dogs of all temperaments, it helps to know what their boundaries are with other people and animals as well as whether they’re safe on or off leash if we’re going out for exercise.
A typical day
I love to have a good balance of physical and mental exercise that caters to the dogs individual needs. Depending on the specific needs of each dog based on size, age and any physical conditions we can do all kinds of activities. We can go on short walks or long hikes, play fetch or other puzzle games, learn new tricks, interact with other dogs at a dog park (if this fits with the comfort of the dog and owner) and we can also just relax and enjoy a good cuddle.

Availability
I am currently on summer break so I am completely free to care for any little furry friends! I prefer weekdays to weekends, and not to start before 8 a.m. but otherwise I am very flexible. I have a car and can transport pets as well if need be.
