I've cared for pets on and off for over ten years - it's one of my favorite things to do when my work schedule allows. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I channel my longstanding affection for all things furry into fun, energetic, and meticulous care of your pets. I tailor my services to meet your needs, providing reassuring routine for anxious pups and rambunctious playdates for the boundless energy types. I'm comfortable with dogs of just about any size and any age. From reinforcing new training for floppy, distractible puppies to administering insulin to a blind, arthritic, diabetic lap dog, my experience runs the gamut. I have both the breadth and depth of experience to ensure your fur baby is happy, safe, and sound at the end of my service! Have a question that wasn't answered above? When I'm in your home to check on your kitty or pup, I'm always respectful of privacy and will carefully follow any instructions you leave regarding how you would like your pet cared for, whether that involves exercise, feeding, administering medication, or giving a little extra love to those anxious pets. I know lots of good neighborhoods all across Portland where there are lovely side streets with lots to see and smell and not too many cars - ideal for walks!

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, dietary restrictions, or personality quirks I should know about. For example: Is your dog friendly to other dogs? If medication is needed, how will it be administered? Is your dog an escape artist? Does your dog have a deep love for a special kind of treat?
A typical day
I set my walk pace based on need: easy strolls for geriatric hips, and a brisk pace and lots of ground covered for the dogs that really need to stretch their legs. Got a dog who loves to fetch? Let me know, and I can stop by the local park to run your pup around for part of our walk - a great addition to the 60 minute walk! When I drop in, I am always careful to follow both written and verbal instructions left by pet parents. I know trips and absences can be stressful for your animal, so I aim to make them feel the least possible interruption in routine. Except when it comes to scratches. I'll bend my rule to give extra when the situation calls for it. :)

I work mostly from home, so my schedule is very flexible. This leaves me with plenty of time and focus to give your fur babies the care and attention they deserve!
