I have been fortunate to know Kiana for many years now, and I can say with certainty that her relationship with dogs (as well as their owners) is founded in compassion. Kiana has been an owner of several dogs over the course of her life and she always speaks of them with tremendous love and tenderness. Her excitement around a dog, whether it be a puppy or of a more advanced age, is heart-warming. Furthermore, she approaches dogs and their owners with impressive sensitivity and respect - asking owners plenty of questions and responding appropriately to the mood and behaviour of the dog. She is incredibly excited by dogs and enjoys her time with them, but her compassion even extends to seeking and implementing all appropriate means to ensuring their safety and well-being. Her knowledge into dog caregiving is impeccable. Having owned and cared for several dogs over the years has provided her with tremendous insight into their needs, attitudes and a fantastic intuition for the problem behind ambiguous signals. Additionally, because of her compassion, while interacting with other dog owners I have seen Kiana pick up on the unique bond the owner and their dog share and encourage that relationship. Kiana fully recognizes that undertaking a position as a dog caregiver involves supporting the dog owner as well, and Kiana is certainly capable of handling the responsibility to the dog owner. Ultimately, Kiana's compassion for dogs makes her a wonderful dog caregiver as it fuels her love, respect, as well as her sense of safety, care and responsibility. Kiana truly seeks to provide dogs with as much joy as they bring her, and then perhaps more.
