Hi there! A little about myself: My name is Kevin Santos. I'm a local real estate guy, and have been dog sitting primarily through Rover for about four years now. I started with Rover during an injury that required me to be off my feet for 4 weeks, and I fell in love with it. If you’d like to learn more about me ahead of time, my Instagram is @Kevin.M.Santos 📱:) My dog: I've been a dog owner most of my life, almost 20 years now. I currently have one big block-headed boy, a an almost 6 year old American Bully, Zeke. I've had pugs and a few mixed breeds before, and most recently a Frenchie for a few years. Duncan, the French Bulldog in the suit and other photos whom many past Rover clients met, very unfortunately passed away in Jan 2020. I adopted Zeke in March 2019, and he’s been nothing short of a rescue dream. He just wants to eat all the food, give (literal) hugs, and really likes chomping down on his pork bones. I’ve had somewhere around 600 or more dogs spend time with me here and a large number of repeat clients, and he loves the visitors. How it will work with me; I took a new full-time role recently, and work hybrid. Sometimes in office, some days from home or meeting clients in local offices. I don't have an exact schedule and it can change by the week. I keep my doggie headcount very low these days (no more than 2 or 3), as I still aim to give people a great experience. While your pet stays with me, you will get updated (I aim for daily) with pictures and videos. :) What to expect: If you decide you’d like me to take care of your furry one(s), It comes with an implied promise that I treat them as if they’re my own. That being said, my primary concern is your dog’s SAFETY during the stay, and I've made (and continue to make) several upgrades to my home with Rover in mind, closing any gaps that might let them escape, replacing short fencing, removing anything that might be dangerous, etc. Weather permitting, your pup(s) will also have plenty of time playing outside in my fully-fenced backarea and on the deck. I've also created a safe space in the basement for running around and heavy play on bad weather days. I am def heavy handed with treats ... the menu during their stay includes whatever you bring, chicken meatball treats, eggs with breakfast, natural honey mixed in with dry food, etc. If you're pup is allergic to anything or you don't want me doing this please let me know! For the humans: I worked in the travel industry from 2014 to 2020 and have been fortunate to be around the world. Because of this, I fully understand the value of a few weeks, long weekend, or even a day away without worry of leaving your little one behind. I want to make this easy and comfortable for you, too! So for that reason, I've stocked up and have several extra treats, toys, dog pillows, dog blankets, dog beds ...etc. ... Which means on drop-off day all you need is your dog(s), their food, any medication they are taking, vet information (I prefer this is in the app or your profile), and anything else you think I need or should know about your pet.
