Grew up with dogs since I was a baby. From German Shepards to Schonauzers, size doesn't matter, lover of all dogs. Have helped watch parents' dogs since moving out. Signed up with Rover in 2016 and have been dog sitting off and on ever since, mostly just a few regulars in Austin the last 3 years. I live in an apartment complex with direct access to the Barton Springs Greenbelt trail so am usually down there 2-3 times a week for hikes/runs and always happy to bring the dogs I'm currently sitting. My girlfriend and I do not have a dog of our own so we're looking to start dog sitting more frequently. Our complex also has a big dog park where a lot of residents bring their pups to play with one another so if your pet needs some social time during their stay we can do that too.

Kevin was great. He took care of our GSD while we were away. He took her on walks and played with her. I would recommend him.
Left our yellow lab with Kevin, and he had a great stay. Our dog loved his dog Shasta and the greenbelt hikes. Kevin was great about communicating with us. Will def book again.
Kevin and his girlfriend took amazing care of Addie. They took her on hikes and runs and she came home a happy and tired pup! They were extremely accommodating with pick up and drop off times!
Kevin and his girlfriend were excellent with my dog. They took the dogs hiking at the greenbelt everyday and shared pictures. My dog was very happy after the stay.

We live on the ground floor in a complex that has several dog bathroom stations placed around so bathroom breaks are easy to cover. In our home we don't mind dogs on our couch (have a big pet cover for stays).

Their friendliness level towards other dogs, adults, and children is always good to know. No real breed preference, all are welcome. If they need to be crated while home alone. How long they can be home alone/need bathroom trips. As stated above on Thurs & Fri we're both at work for 6-8 hours.
A typical day
I go on a lot of runs, hikes and walks every week, perfect for most dogs and I can adjust length/difficulty based on the dog. There's also a very nice dog park at my complex that gets decently busy during peak hours so always down to let the dog(s) I’m sitting socialize if they get along with other dogs.

Availability
My girlfriend and I both work about 30 hours a week outside of the home and currently our schedules are fixed so Thursdays and Fridays we do both work so those would be the days where your pet would be alone for 6-8 hours. The other 5 days at least one of us is off so have a decent amount of time to spend with your pet(s).
