I have calm peaceful demeanor that will hopefully help put the animal at ease. I believe dogs are more in tune with states of being than most people are and it is important for the dog to be around a calm stable individual that can give them the attention and guidance most dogs crave. I also aim to keep a dog mentally active and engaged through out the day and not just set him or her out back and forget about them for the day. Happiness is contagious. If the dog is happy I am more happy, so it is a win win to do the small things that keep a dog happy and healthy. Play time and interaction are keys to success even if it is mild play for some of the older dogs. It is still good to engage with them on a fun energetic level.
