Experienced and loving dog handler
Pet care experience
My name is Kevin and I've worked at a top of the line daycare facility for two years. I monitored an average of 15-25 dogs at a time and facilitated their transitions to other play spaces. I've cleaned up well over my own weight in dog waste and messes no longer phase me. I've cared for a wonderful, challenging dog for half my life. This dog, Lola is the one who inspired my love and dedication to working with difficult dogs. Lola has conditioned me to hold a special place for those who take a lot of patience.

Kevin took awesome care of Winnie and our home for 3 weeks over Christmas. Thanks so much!
Kevin did an awesome job with my very skittish rescue. She got unexpectedly territorial when he came over, but Kevin used his jedi powers (and a pack of safeway hotdogs) and won her heart. It was a huge relief knowing that she was in good hands. When we got home, the house was just as we left it and our pup was a happy girl. Thanks Kevin!
I was so hopeful....when Kevin first came over my 15 year min pin didn’t bark at all which I took as a good sign along with the fact that he appeared to be comfortable with all of the instructions but things slowly fell apart from there. I had asked for him to come by and re-meet Monte the day before sitting as it had been a week and she is hard of seeing and hearing to which he gladly agreed (as has every other sitter I’ve have ever used) then at the end of the visit he told me “that will be $15”. I was taken aback and asked what the $15 was for and in a combative tone he said his time and the bart costs money....he never mentioned that there would be a fee ahead of time so this left a bad taste in my mouth. The day of, he came into the apartment and noticed my Canary (nanny cam) which I have to keep an eye on Monte when away - he smirked, shook his head and said “what kind of people put a camera in their own home?!” Ok strike two.... He dropped his belongings on the kitchen counter and began unpacking everything right there despite having a guest room and when I say he was on his phone the entire time, I mean THE ENTIRE TIME. Not talking but texting or surfing the web, glued to the phone with virtually zero interaction with Monte. Strike three... Final strike is the fact that I clearly indicated she wasn’t to have treats outside of the 7:30pm potty session as she gets her medication as treats for the other potty sessions and yet on camera I found him giving her treats outside of that and she now begs constantly since I’ve been back. For those who don’t have specific pet needs, don’t require transparency or need for the dog sitter to follow directions, and whose pets don’t need any “present” time with their sitter I’m sure Kevin is a good fit. Cameras don’t lie! Needless to say I will not rebook.
Kevin took great care of Winnie. He was flexible, communicative and worked through all of Winnie's anxieties. When we got back, Winnie was happy and the house looked clean. Thanks, Kevin!

Information Kevin B. would like to know about your pet
I want to know everything that could help me look after your dog and keep them safe and entertained. Hot spots, allergies, fleas, injuries of any kind or fears of certain movements, objects etc.
A typical day
I believe that a good handler should be able to adapt themselves to whatever dog(s) they have in their care and as no two dogs are quite the same, my style and approach is always tailored for the individual. If you'd like me to take your dog to the park and play fetch for an hour, I can do that. If it's a puppy that needs stimulation, We will play and practice some simple obedience such as sit and down.
