Care for all dogs/cats/pets
Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 11 years old. I specifically have worked with many rescued animals, and both my cat and Boston terrier/Pitbull mix were rescued here in the city. Fran, my dog, has issues with her skin, separation anxiety, and with other dogs, and we’ve worked through these issues together. Growing up, I took care of my family's cat and boxer/Pitbull mix, and I also cared for many neighbors and cousins dogs and cats as well. I’ve gained a lot of experience sitting and walking for Rover in DC, too.
Reviews
Kev was absolutely amazing with my two cats, Ichi and Falafel, and my snake, Malfoy. I was headed out of town for the holidays and left booking a pet sitter to the very last minute. Kev was kind, patient, and super flexible. While I was out of town, he provided tons of photos and updates and I never had to worry about how my critters were doing. One of my cats is definitely more shy than the other, but they both took to Kev immediately! I’d even get regular updates on my snake (who I know a lot of pet sitters might be afraid of working with, so it has been challenging at times to find a pet sitter in the first place). I am so thankful for the great care Kev provided my pets and HIGHLY recommend his services. I will absolutely be booking with him again in the future!
Could not have asked for a better dog walker!
Kev is a rock. Comes on time. Cool as a cucumber, in the face of my sometime over anxious dog. Follows instructions. Trustworthy on every level. Couldn’t ask for more.
Thanks again for another great visit with our pups!

Safety, trust & environment
I am unable to host pets in my current place, but I look forward to taking good care of your pets. I will treat your home with respect and follow all of the instructions you provide. I understand how sensitive pets can be to their environment, so I will provide loving service to them without causing much of a disturbance.
Information Kev W. would like to know about your pet
My dog has quite a few special needs herself, so I know first hand how important it is to identify what your dog’s/cat’s needs are before the visit. Does your dog/cat have any health/skin conditions? Does your dog do well on walks around other dogs/animals? Is your dog/cat friendly to strangers? Does your dog/cat take any medications? Does your dog (like mine) suffer from any mental health issues or separation anxiety issues? Is there anything that you do that soothes their anxiety on a daily basis? All of this information can prove very helpful.
A typical day
I like to engage your dog in activities that spark both their mental and physical energies. My adopted dog needed a lot of help learning how to play with toys (she was initially very scared of them), so I am confident that I will be able to find ways to engage your dog in many different types of play. I am physically fit and love to jog with my dog now, and burning off excess energy is great for her behavior. There are a variety of places I could take your dog depending on where you live.
