Pet care experience
I’ve grown up around dogs. My family used to breed AKC Collie’s, owning 2 collies in total. Once I moved to college, I couldn’t have a collie where I lived so I got a Sheltie. He’s been with me ever since, though his “time” is approaching. (Passed away 4/6/2021) I’ve dog sat for several friends. I teach therefore summers off means a lot of availability for me to care for your dog! I’m no professional but I’m good with training and very patient with dogs. My sheltie was house broken in 6 months and knew all the basic commands. I have so much fun with dogs and have children to play with them too! Dogs must be good with other dogs and with children. I look forward to meeting your dog or dogs! I care a lot about animals! I do offer services year round, however, June through August are my peak times. I teach, therefore September through May are harder for me to care for other’s pets during the week. It can be done, but it is more difficult, as the pets will be cooped up from 7-3:30. I am always available on weekends! I offer discounts for repeat clients. Discount applied after booking.

Kerri was awesome! I’ve got a special needs/senior dog and we were nervous leaving him behind when we went on vacation. Kerri sent me plenty of updates on him and kept me in the loop on how everything was going which really helped us feel at ease. She did everything required for our boy and then some. She made sure him and his blankets were clean upon pickup. Just an overall awesome experience and I couldn’t be happier!
Another fantastic weekend for Lyla at Kerri’s house! We’re so appreciative of Kerri and her fantastic pet care when we go out of town, and will continue to use her as long as she’s willing! :)
Kerri is a wonderful sitter! Our dog Luna has stayed with her family several times. Kerri sends me tons of pictures and keeps me updated. Luna gets to play with her dog friends and with Kerri’s kids. Every time we bring her to Kerri’s house, Luna runs up to the door.

I have a fenced in yard for your dog(s) to run around! I do have gentle giant (Great Dane) who loves to play. He can be intimidating, but he’s so sweet and just wants to play. Disclaimer- he drools a lot. I can keep your pet clean, though! I also have a Boston Terrier named Ellie. She is a very special story and although I picked her up as a 6 month old pup in 2012, we have been apart for 10 years and she’s back where she belongs. <3 If I come to your home for services, I am very professional and will be sure to follow your steps completely. I might sometimes need to bring my children with me, depending on the day.

It’s important to know if your dog has anxiety during storms (or at all, really). I’d like to know if there’s special treatment or allergies of your dog. I am open to all breeds, as long as they have been properly socialized with other dogs and with people. I do not accept unaltered animals in my home due to behavioral concerns it leads to in my own animals.
A typical day
I live in a great neighborhood with sidewalks. We will walk around here, and also have opportunities for excise in my fenced in yard. I have plenty of dog toys as well! When the weather is bad, we play inside!

Availability
I am a teacher, therefore I primarily take on clients during the summer and on weekends. During the week is not out of question, just know they will be alone (must bring crate due to no supervision) from about 7 until 3/3:30 during the months school is in session. June through mid August, I am home except occasional errands and will be available for frequent potty breaks!
