Pet care experience
I love all little dogs but especially sausage dogs. I have looked after poodles, Yorkshire terriers, whippets and now have my own sausage dog Nellie. I am a member of St Alban's sausage dogs and have looked after several sausage dogs in St Alban's and abroad. I am registered as a foster carer with Dachshund Rescue UK. I am a nurse but I prefer looking after dogs to humans 🤣. I am patient and caring, I don't worry about dogs on furniture or beds and am happy to administer medicine etc. Your fur baby is welcome to sleep where they like even on my bed. I can walk your doggy as much or as little as you need. Your doggy will be loved and cuddled a lot and I will bombard you with updates and pics until you tell me to stop🤣

This is the second stay our dogs have had with Kerri . They were excited to see her and looked like they had a fantastic time. She always treats them like members of her own family and are extremely well looked after. She makes us going away easy as we know they are having a holiday too. Thank you Kerri.
Kerri is a very experienced and loving dog sitter and her dog Nellie is a wonderful character and got on very well with Mickey. At the end of the stay, Mickey didn't want to leave! We certainly recommend Kerri and will book her again.
Kerri is as her profile says: sausage dog mad! She simply adores little dogs and I could tell she fell in love with Minnie and Pickle instantly 🥹. We talked on the phone ahead of the booking and I knew she was going to be wonderful. Everything went beautifully and I’ve already booked in her next visit 😄. Highly highly highly recommend!

I have an enclosed garden and plenty of open spaces for dog walking and exercise/play nearby. I have also house and pet sat for cats in the past and have a testimonial on 'mind my house' website.

I am happy to walk dogs locally if they are a small dog. I am not very strong or experienced with bigger dogs who pull on the lead so for their (and my safety) I cannot do this. I will consider dog sitting in your home if it is local and you are happy for me to come with my sausage dog too.
A typical day
I usually get up about 0730 / 0800 (though can be earlier). I give my dog her breakfast and she plays with me in the garden. A walk is usually late morning or early afternoon. I am exceptionally good at sitting on the sofa and cuddling dogs ?. Evening walks are usually after 6pm. If it is safe to do so (your dog has good recall) I like to do at least one walk off leash so they can have a little freedom. I have a fully enclosed dog field nearby which is a great place for exercise. Sometimes we hop in the car and go to Greenwood Park or the forest.

Availability
I am semi retired. Your dog will never be left home alone except for twice a week for no more than 3 hours when I look after a local elderly lady. Often on these days my 16 year old dog crazy son is home.
