I have over 20 years of experience handling and caring for dogs! Additionally, I have worked as a companion dog trainer since November 2022. I own two German Shepherds currently and formerly owned a husky, border collie, and other mixed breed dogs. I am comfortable caring for dogs of any size and demeanor. As an active adult, I frequently run and hike with my dogs and am happy to do the same for yours!

Kerri had Cisco for 3 hot days in July so we could enjoy our time on the boat (not Cisco's favorite thing). She was very communicative and flexible with our schedule. Being on vacation, that was very helpful. Her German Shepherd, Jackson, is a sweetheart. Kerri has great management skills and control over the dogs. She gave Cisco individual time to play in her fenced in backyard. Two of the days, she drove them to her favorite shaded hiking trail to get them out of the house. After we picked up Cisco at dinnertime, he was very content to come back to our small cabin and chill. We enjoyed the photos Kerri sent of their walks and chill time.
Kerri is a very caring and loving dog sitter. She is patient with dogs and loves to play with them. She cares about their health and well being. Our dogs love her!
Kerri is a very thoughtful and caring person to humans and pets alike. She loves her own dog, Jackson, so much, and she is always focused on providing the best care possible to him. I don’t think I’ve met a person more dedicated to properly training or raising a dog to be the best pup it can be!

I make sure dogs are leashed at all times while outdoors unless in a fenced in area. I also am experienced with crate training. I know how to watch for signs of stress and abnormal dog behavior and will notify you of any concerns immediately!

If your dog has any behavioral concerns such as reactivity to strangers or other dogs, please let me know so I can plan accordingly. I also do frequently use treats, so please let me know if your dog has any restrictive dietary needs or allergies.
A typical day
As a trainer, I know the value in working dogs both physically and mentally! I can also run or hike with your dog if they are high energy. I have lots of toys for physical exertion such as a chuck-it ball launcher and flirt pole for chasing. I can also work on training with your dog using any commands and cues you use!

Availability
I typically get up in the mornings around 6-7am for potty and breakfast. Morning or afternoon potty breaks and walks are frequent. I also have reflective gear and a headlamp for evening walks!
