I have dog sat for friends in the past and am great with animals. As my headline states, our pets are like people - meaning I understand that they are members of your family and they should be treated as such. I rescued a miniature poodle about 9 years ago. Her name was Inky and, sadly, she passed away a few years ago. I love animals and miss having a dog, but I am not ready to get another one quite yet. I would absolutely love being a pet sitter and would treat your pet the way I would treat my own. If you are looking for a long-term relationship, i.e., someone to call to check in on your pet while you are at work every day or if you travel a lot, I would be willing to negotiate a cheaper rate. I am pretty flexible. I am interested in building relationships with my clientele (the pets and their human companions), because I understand how stressful it can be to leave you pet alone with a stranger or in a kennel. I am an animal lover at heart and would make sure that your pet felt right at home with me. My profile states that I require your pet to be crate trained. I am flexible with that rule, as long as the dog is okay being left alone, and we can discuss that issue further. It also states that I will only take 1 pet at a time. Those types of details will be discussed on a case-to-case basis, and I'm willing to work with you. If you have more than 1 pet in your family, I would be willing to take more than 1. My biggest concern is for the safety and well-being of the animals, so for that reason I will usually only book 1 pet at a time, as I do live in a small house with my fiance and it is hard for me to separate the pets if they do not get along.
