Hi! A little about me: I have grown up around cats, dogs and horses. I have fostered 22 cats through SafeHome rescue over the last three years and 12 dogs through Hope Animal Rescue over the last two. I graduated from ISU in 2019 and then completed the ABSN program at Mercy. I am an ICU night nurse and with boarding and my pup, I have my sister (undergrad at Grandview who also has a Rover profile) and my boyfriend help out so the animals are very rarely alone! I have a 3 month old (fully vaccinated, not neutered yet due to age) golden doodle pup. He is very mellow and loves everyone.

Kenzie was absolutely wonderful! I needed someone to watch my pup last minute and she was very communicative the whole time. She’s really sweet and my dog took to her immediately! She’s very friendly and I would highly recommend!
I’ve known Kenzie since she was 14 years old and she’s always had a strong passion for all animals. She grew up with several dogs in her family home and has continued to care for animals through fostering, volunteering with animals, and dog sitting in her adult life. She has watched my dog, Abel, several times and he gets so excited when she comes over! I would highly recommend Kenzie as a dog care giver for your beloved pup! :)

I treat all animals as if they were my own. I have worked with animals who fear people due to abuse/neglect and it breaks my heart.. I love animals and will care for them according to how you do to maintain as much “normal” as possible for your animals while you are away.

No preferences! Just let me know if they have any specific aggression (leash, prey-drive, dislikes for other dogs) so I know what to expect. Also - how you are training them/if potty trained.. what is schedule?
A typical day
With boarding, my apartment has a dog park area and plenty of sidewalk paths for walks. Otherwise, I’ll just repeat whatever you regularly do for walks or play in your backyard.

Availability
I currently have a 3-day work week at night. I am home all day and majority of the week. On the days that I work, I either mark myself as busy on Rover or if it is a week long stay, I will ask my sister/boyfriend (who both work normal day shifts) to stay at my home so the pups are very rarely alone!
