Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs of many breeds, temperaments, ages, and personalities over the last 11 years. I started by watching friends and neighbors dogs while also growing up around dogs and owning my own over the years. I am happy to answer more specific questions about any of the dogs I’ve previously cared for or owned but I do have experience with everything from aggressive so very docile dogs and frightful to off leash walkers. Many people have different expectations for their dogs and because I work remotely I am able to attend to any needs necessary! I love taking dogs for walks and/or hikes and love to spend my free time playing with them as well! My goal is always to leave the pets and home better than when I arrived which can include cleaning the home, bathing pets if needed, and doing anything else to keep everyone happy!
Reviews
Kenzie was perfect! Our animals loved her! She kept me updated the whole time she was there with pictures! She even cleaned our house while she was there! This was my first time being away for multiple days from my pets, and she made it much easier on me being away!
Kenzie is a responsible young lady who is great with our animals and house. She is considerate and clean. Takes great care when we are away and I would recommend her for watching our home while we are away!
I began working with Kenzie when I first moved to Colorado Springs! She's one of the most fun, loving, and kind people I know. I would highly recommend her for dog sitting or boarding! She is trustworthy and honest. I recently worked with her house sitting for a client in Manitou and she took the 3 dogs on off-leash hikes everyday! She also keeps owners homes clean, orderly, and safe!
Kenzie was awesome! She watched both of our rescue breeds and gave them love for us. We wanted her to snap some pictures so we could see them while we were away and she made sure we got them all day. Highly recommend her!

In other clients homes I make sure to ask as many questions as possible so the dogs schedules can be as close to normal as possible and have all needs met. In many cases I clean daily because it is something I do in my home. I also make sure to walk, hike, or run dogs daily and make sure their physical needs are met. I love to play with them and make sure they are mentally stimulated as well. Other than that I am able to add any needs of the dog or home into my daily routine! If I ever board dogs in my own home they do have to be comfortable with other dogs. I live with my parents currently and they have a mini aussie in the home as well as a sheepadoodle; the sheepadoodle is a service dog and the aussie is a high energy but well behaved fluff ball! As long as your dog or dogs are potty trained and good with other friends, I am happy to board them!

Information Kenzie F. would like to know about your pet
Before I begin watching a dog it is very important for me to know their schedule, any special needs such as medication, as well as the owners expectations for me, the dogs, and their home. I love to ask lots of questions to ensure everyone is comfortable and feels great during and after the stay!
A typical day
One of my personal favorite things to do with dogs is go hiking! I think it’s a great way to build trust while getting some physical activity and exploring new environments for the dogs. If I am boarding in my home I am surrounded by trails and know some great ones that my dogs enjoy; when staying in others homes I ask about local trails and places to walk and if the owners don’t know of any I love to find some to try while I’m there! While in the home I think it is good to play with toys as well as incorporate some games and training into the dogs day to get some mental stimulation.

Availability
I currently do most of my work remotely and am able to build my in person obligations around anything I need to. I am available all nights of the week for boarding and can build my days around any needs of the dogs. I am a very active individual and try to run, hike, or participate in some physical activity everyday and am happy to bring dogs along if it’s okay! Overall, my schedule is extremely flexible and can be based on a dog or multiple dogs schedules.
