I'm there for your dog!
Pet care experience
I've always lived with animals and have been very interested in getting to know them. I think this has allowed me to get a feel for their needs. They sense that I'm "listening" and they communicate, each in their own way! I guess that's why animals like me. In practical terms, I'm a biologist (taught biology for 9 years in public school) and can understand your pet's medical issues and meds. I'm mature, have lots of life experience and handle myself well in an emergency. I'm calm and friendly and get on well with people too! In the course of house-sitting, I've done lots of dog/pet sitting. The pets were my favorite part of the experience. I grew up with dogs in the house (miniature dachsies, poodles, a German Shepherd, German Shorthairs). Nowadays, my living situation doesn't allow for dogs so I get my doggie fix by helping out! Take advantage of my doggie deprivation and ask me to lavish love on your canine kid. I'm dependable, mature and caring. You'll feel good about leaving your furry family member in my care. Satisfaction or your money back! I've done lots of house-sitting and pet-sitting and I grew up with dogs. I currently can't keep a canine but I have lots of feline company. Besides dogs and cats, I've taken care of snakes, a gecko, fish, rabbits, a horse, tame rats and mice, a cockatoo, a cockatiel and the list goes on! Why I love dog sitting I grew up in household with dogs (Dachsunds, Poodles, German Shorthairs, a German Shepherd, a mixed breed stray--our personal favorite!). Since I moved to Albuquerque, my living space doesn't allow for dogs. So I housesit/petsit. I get my doggie fix! I love cats too (and just about any other animals) so my gigs often include multiple critters. My experience administering medication Yes. I have given meds to cats, dogs and even a horse!
Reviews
Kent is very good with large and small dogs. Not afraid to take a few kisses to the face! I have 3 German Shorthaired pointers ( i.e. insane ) that love to think they are lapdogs and Kent has no problem with their craziness.
As a retired biologist (& dog-trainer), I feel qualified to recommend Kent Madden as a dog care-giver. He is intelligent, responsible & knowledgeable about animal's needs & care. You won't find a more conscientious person to work for you. Sincerely, Lynn Allan Hetlet

Information Kent M. would like to know about your pet
The dog's affectional needs (holding, petting, play); the dog's fears (loud noises? cats? kids?); the dog's schedule (does he/she need a walk before bed to avoid constipation? How much food and when? Whether the dog nips or bites or gets aggressive in certain circumstances; behavioral cues that the dog is upset. Any med needs or health concerns? Emergency numbers for vet, etc. The breed doesn't matter so much--doggie personalities differ a lot. My goal is to get to know the individual dog.
