We are qualified in giving oral medications, ear/eye medication, injections, sub-q fluids, topical ointments, bandage changes. We can identify true signs of trauma in a pet, and are more aware of signs and symptoms of potential risks in a pets health than the average layperson. 18yrs Law Enforcement. This experience translates to mean I have heightened conflict/crises resolution skills, I have a heightened sense of my surroundings and am more sensitive to things that seem out of place. This experience also provided me with the experience to remain very calm & in control and that carries over to a sense of security that animals pick up on and they become very comfortable with me. Why I love dog sitting? All My Life has been dedicated to caring for animals in one form or another! Starting with our 1st dog, Boots, my very first memories are with dogs in my world. I worked for veterinarians for 9+ years and am comfortable and knowledgeable in administering insulin injections, ear & eye ointments, and oral medications (even for the stubborn ones!), topical ointments & bandage changes & subcutaneous fluids.
