Pet care experience
I've been taking care of my pets and the pets of family members since I was a child. I've been volunteering at Baltimore Humane Society as a cat and small animal socializer since 2016, giving me a strong understanding of cat and rabbit body language and social needs. Ive been petsitting since 2020 and have had experience caring for cats and dogs, including sick and elderly dogs in hospice foster care. In addition, I have experience with animals such as amphibians, reptiles, birds, insects, and fish through my position as a naturalist intern at Irvine Nature Center.

Kenna did a great job dog sitting our pups in our house for a few days. We appreciate her responsiveness and flexibility, and she took especially good care of one of our pups when he was being very dramatic because he wasn't feeling well. We would love to have Kenna back to watch our dogs in the future!
Kenna is the best! Although we scheduled last minute and a few things didn’t go as planned (locked door, power and wifi outages) Kenna stayed with and took great care of our dog! We highly recommend her!
Kenna has done overnight pet sitting for my 3 dogs and 2 cats on several occasions. I am able to travel with the full knowledge that my pets are in great hands with someone who is very responsible and treats my animals is if they are her own.

A typical day
I make sure to provide your dog with mental enrichment in addition to basic needs through activities specific to them. This could mean toys, long walks, hikes, or playing in the park, depending on what your dog loves. To me, pet sitting means continuously watching and adapting for your pets needs, not just checking off requirements as I go through the day.

I'm out of school for the summer, so my schedule is currently flexible for house sitting, dog walking, and drop-ins. Im available during nights and weekends as well.
